DETERMINATION OF CAKING POWER
The Roga Index Test Machine is used to determine the caking powder of coal
by mechanical strength of crucible coke.
A mixer of 1 gram of coal and 5 grams of standard anthracite by carbonation under standard conditions.
The crucible coke obtained is then submitted to a drum test in a strictly prescribed manner
and the Index is calculated from the results.
The Roga Index Test Machine is a bench top unit with a central drive motor on gearbox.
It has 2 round sample drums which have Roga baffles inside to mix the coal Ben tested
The drums are vertical to allow the mixing to take place at a set speed and revolutions.
The Roga Index Test Machine can with a start switch, stop switch, mechanical timer
Power :- 220 Volt 50 Hz.
This unit is used mainly in the Coal Industry
